Hi! I’m Cristin, the creator!
Thanks for checking out what I make.
I have two kids, ages 9 and 5, who both love to do art, crafts, and play games. Usually they enjoy the activities I come up with for them but, to be honest, sometimes they fall flat. That’s ok!
I love to plan parties and really dig into the details. When I had kids and started throwing birthday parties, things kicked into another gear. I also noticed that our annual adult Halloween party needed some activities mixed in. As more of our adult friends had kids, the parties became less about beer pong (because everyone had to wake up and be a parent in the morning!) and we had more fun playing games together.
Like a lot of parents, I would scroll through Pinterest to find party ideas for decorations, games, treat bags, etc. for whatever theme my kids requested. Many times I wouldn’t find something that really fit my age range or my space, so I made my own thing. This blog is a way to share those ideas and pass along the inspiration to others.
I’ve learned that the most important thing to do is KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE! If your family loves charades, awesome! If they don’t, that’s ok too! You will know what is most likely to work, and do that! I’ve compiled all my planning tips, so feel free to read through and do what works for you.
I also work full time in a corporate environment. Any chance I have to add some fun into my team meetings, I do it! I usually organize a large team building activity a few times a year. Switching to working from home during the pandemic really pushed my creativity into how to connect virtually with my team and how to still play games and laugh together. I’ll add my virtual activities to this blog too!
Thanks for reading and checking out what I’ve created!
