Peppa Pig was a BIG DEAL in my house. When my daughter turned 3 it was an easy choice for a theme. A lot of the older cousins and friends though, didn’t care a whole lot for Peppa Pig. For this party, I kept it simple with one game and one craft. There were other things to entertain the kids like swimming and snacks, so we didn’t need a lot of extra.
Musical Muddy Puddles: A Peppa Pig Game
If you know Peppa Pig, you know that jumping up and down in muddy puddles is a big deal. I think it’s contractually required. Seriously, watch three 5 minute episodes, I guarantee it happens at least once. Go ahead, I’ll wait…
I used brown felt, cut out muddle puddle shapes. Then played musical chairs with the puddles. The kids liked it, except my kid who refused to play. That’s the way it goes though right?
Painting Piggy Banks: A Pig Craft
This craft appealed to a wide range of ages. I order porcelain piggy banks, put out a lot of paint and stickers, and let them go. A few adults joined in too! These paint palette trays made it easy to portion out the paint too.
As typically happens, the younger kids had some good looking pigs and then just kept going and they mainly turned brown. But if it makes them happy, that’s ok! At least that’s what I keep telling myself while cringing inside.
Peppa Pig Cake
This was a really easy Peppa Pig cake to make! I used chocolate icing first as the base. Then I cut out a muddy puddle shape on paper, laid it on top, and covered the rest in green sprinkles. I added Peppa Pig and George to the top – these were toys we already had and got rinsed off later.
The Kit-Kats are really easy to put on to make a good “fence”. Do a base coat of icing, then carefully stick the Kit-Kats on. Wrap a ribbon around the fence to make sure it doesn’t fall off as it cools.
The Kit-Kats also made it really easy to slice the cake! Just give each guest two Kit-Kats in width and it all comes out very consistent.
